Holiday Card 2015

No time no blog! I figured since it’s the last day of the year (how did that happen?), I would share the holiday card I designed this year.

For this year, I hand lettered the “happy holidays,” vectorized it, and then had a custom stamp made from RubberStamps.net. I purchased the cards, envelopes, ink pads, pine stamp, and embossing powder from Paper Source. Then came the hard work—stamping two separate stamps with two different colors and heat embossing about 80 cards. All in all, I think it took about 4-5 hours to make them all. I actually added the pine stamp after stamping all of the cards, because it felt like there was too much awkward white space in the bottom right corner—and I’m really glad I did.

I then addressed all the envelopes with silver calligraphy pens, stamped our return address in silver ink, and finished them off with Peanuts stamps! I’m very happy with how they turned out—but maybe next year I’ll do something less labor intensive.

Hope everyone has a great start to the new year!
